Last summer we used an indigo dye pot to overdye a chartreuse-green wool and layered that with sumac, for an end-of-season mop-up. This is what the skeins yielded.
This is our first Mndigo garment. What I find intriguing about the layers of Sumac, over Indigo, over original chartreuse wool is the random shading that somehow always works. Knitting garter stitch in mitered squares amplifies the mystery. I can’t wait to fire up the pots and see what else sparks with our beloved Indigo.
